The jalfrezi curry is spicy and tangy.  It is an indo chinese street cuisine curry recipe that has a strong influence on stir-frying technique with a hint of indian spices.

Ingredients of Vegetable Jalfrezi 

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ onion
  • beans, carrot, peas, yellow capsicum, baby corn, green capsicum (chopped),
  • ½ tomato (sliced)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ red capsicum (sliced)

for sabzi:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 chilli
  • ½ onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tomato (chopped)
  • Tomato sauce
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ¼ tsp pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp coriander

How to Make Vegetable Jalfrezi

  • Take a pan and heat butter, add onion, beans, carrot, tomato, tbsp peas and baby corn.
  • add salt and stir fry.
  • Add yellow capsicum, green capsicum and red capsicum.
  • Fry all the vegetables.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai. add cumin, kasuri methi, clove garlic, ginger and chilli, saute until the spices turn aromatic.
  • Add onion and saute until golden brown.
  • Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.
  • Add tomato and saute until tomatoes turn mushy.
  • Add tomato sauce and mix well.
  • Add all the vegetables, with garam masala and pepper powder, mix well.
  • finally, add coriander and enjoy veg jalfrezi.
