Urad dal makes your bones stronger


A light and easy dish, lentils are great for lunch. They are rich in nutrients, especially protein, and provide a complete meal that keeps you full. The urad dal or black gram is an excellent vegetarian food, as it is rich in iron, B vitamins and other essential nutrients.

Ingredients of dhuli urad dal

  • 200 gram dhuli urad dal
  • 1 tsp desi ghee
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 3 red chili peppers
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Water
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

How to makeĀ  Dhuli Urad Dal

  1. wash Soak the urad dal in water for fifteen minutes and filter it. Boil the lentils, water, salt, 1/2 tsp of ghee, and turmeric powder in a pan. Heat the ghee in a skillet, add the cumin seeds, ginger, onion, red chili powder, and salt. When cooked, add 1/2 tsp garam masala and cook it for some time after adding it. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
