250 grams dates

75 gram Chana dal

75 gram Moong dal

3/4 Cup milk

1/2 cup melted Desi ghee

5-6 almonds

3to4 green cardamom

150 grams sugar
How to make mix dal and dates halwa

Wash and soak Dal overnight. Soak chopped dates in half cup hot milk and keep aside. Drain water from Dal put it in a Kadai and add cups of milk. Keep it on fire, burning to boil, cook till the turns soft and about half cup of milk remain. Remove the dal from fire and let it cool. Turn the dates along with milk to a paste.

Head half cup of ghee in a Skillet add almonds, stir 2 min. and add the dal paste to ghee and also the date paste, stir to mix well till the color changes. Now add sugar and elaichi powder, mix well till sugar dissolve. Serve hot.
