Black Bean Brownies


These Fudgy Black Bean Brownies are a decadent gluten-free dessert. They’re fudgy, sweet, and still one of the best brownies I’ve had to date. Never mind they’re loaded with fiber, omega-3s and tons of other good-for-you ingredients.

Ingredients of Black Bean Brownies

  • 2 heaping Tbsp flaxseed meal
  • 6 Tbsp water
  • 1 3/4 cups black beans
  • 3 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder


    • Crushed walnuts
    • Pecans
    • chocolate chips

How To Make Black Bean Brownies

    • Lightly grease a 12-slot standard size muffin pan.
    • Combining flax and water in the bowl. Griend them.
    • Add remaining ingredients (besides walnuts or other toppings) and puree.
    • If the batter appears too thick, add a Tbsp or two of water and pulse again.
    • Evenly distribute the batter into the muffin tin.
    • Sprinkle with crushed walnuts, pecans or chocolate chips.
    • Bake for 30 minutes.
    • Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes before removing from pan.
    • Store in an airtight container for up to a few days. Refrigerate to keep longer.
